I research and teach international trade at the point where it stops being theory — where a term has to be chosen, a document filed, and a loss assigned.

My research covers trade policy, foreign-exchange risk and MSME finance, and I write for the business press on what trade policy means for firms that actually have to export. Alongside that I build browser-based simulations and small AI tools for the same audience.

Teaching Export-Import the way trade actually happens

I teach EXIM through live simulations rather than slides alone. In my classroom, students negotiate Letters of Credit, hedge currency risk, and file trade documents themselves — experiencing international business before they step into it. My pedagogy is simple: perceive the career first, then pursue it.

Learning trade by doing trade

Browser-based, nothing to install. Students step into the roles of exporters, consultants, bankers and freight forwarders. Sessions are scored, with certificates and consulting reports on completion.

Every live simulation, every level and the full case library run on the dedicated platform. Students sign in there and their progress is recorded against their account.
